2. Data we collect

2.1 Data you enter yourself

• Trade records: asset, direction, type, amounts, profit/loss, payout, dates/times, strategy notes, confidence, discipline flags, and free-text journal notes.
• Diary entries: daily mood ratings and free-text reflections.
• Settings: starting balances, stop-rule limits, currency symbol, deposits/withdrawals log.

This data is yours. We do not review, analyse, sell, or share it for advertising.

2.2 Data collected when you sign in (optional)

• If you use the optional Google sign-in, we receive from Google: your name, email address, and profile picture, plus a unique user ID. We use these solely to identify your sync account and show who is signed in.
• Sign-in is entirely optional. Without it, the App works fully offline and stores everything only on your device.

2.3 Technical data

• On your device: the App uses browser storage (localStorage / IndexedDB) to keep your journal. Clearing site data or uninstalling the App removes it.
• Google Firebase: when signed in, sync traffic (your trade records, settings, diary) travels encrypted (HTTPS) to Google Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Authentication processes your sign-in. Firebase may process standard technical data (IP address, device identifiers) for security and abuse prevention under Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts: the App loads fonts from Google’s CDN; your browser contacts Google servers to fetch them (standard IP-based server logs apply).
• The App contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies.

3. How your data is protected

• All sync traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS).
• Cloud data is stored under your unique user ID and protected by Firestore security rules that deny all access to anyone except you (authenticated owner-only access on every document).
• We never see your password — Google handles authentication entirely.

4. How we use your data

• To display your journal and compute statistics inside the App.
• To sync your data between devices you sign into.
• That is the complete list. There is no profiling, no automated decision-making, no marketing.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. Sub-processors involved in delivering the service: Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Fonts CDN) and your hosting provider (e.g. Netlify / GitHub Pages — serves the App’s files). Each processes data only as needed to provide the service.

6. Data retention & deletion

• Device data: kept until you delete it, clear site data, or uninstall the App.
• Deleted trades/diary entries: held in an in-app trash for 30 days (for undo), then permanently removed; deletions also propagate to the cloud copy.
• Cloud data: kept while your account is used. To delete everything, delete your records in the App and sign out — or email us to have your cloud documents permanently removed. Firebase authentication data can be revoked by removing the App from your Google account permissions.
• Export: you can export your complete data at any time (CSV / JSON backup, built into the App).

7. Your rights

Depending on your location (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, POPIA and similar), you may have rights to access, correct, port, restrict, or delete your personal data. Since all data is visible and editable inside the App and exportable at will, you can exercise most of these rights directly; for anything else, email jjnienaber2@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

The App is intended for adults (18+) engaged in trading. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us for removal.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date. Material changes will be highlighted in the App.
